What a cutie

 I am all about the fashion and now that I am a mommy and all about the baby fashion. I am totally enamoured with the baby bonnet a created for my little one and totally in awe of the fact that other people like it too!

So I decided to do something very uncharacteristic. Take a risk... that is a risk not related to an outfit I put together. I decided that I need to share out some of the joy and allow other babies to be just as fashionable (you can never accuse me of being selfish when it comes to fashion!). I sold a few to some close friends and now I have set up shop on Etsy (check out Etsy, they are amazing! http://www.etsy.com/).

Baby Bonnets

My daughter has the busiest little hands and they get even busier when I try and put a hat on her head! Thus I decided I am going to make her a bonnet. Not just any bonnet but a modern take on the old fashioned baby headgear.

I bought some Jolly Roger / Pirate fabric and an old vintage pattern which I modernerised. My old sewing machine (a gift from my Gran a number of years ago) recieved a dusting off and off I went creating the hat in my imagination.

The result is simly gorgeous... well at least I thought so in my mildly bias opinion! Best of all? She can't pull it off!
